Brussel Sprouts Skillet with Yams
Brussels sprouts are one of the most commonly mis-spelled vegetables. It is a cruciferous vegetable originally grown in the area of northern Europe now called Belgium, and is named after the capitol, Brussels. That’s why it is usually capitalized and spelled Brussels sprouts, although brussels sprouts is acceptable, but definitely not brussel sprouts. This recipe includes yams, Brussels sprouts, onion, maple syrup, and walnuts (optional) for a winning combination of flavors and nutrients.
